This episode examines:
How you can make a difference in the world! We look at what Louise Kent and Dr. JJ are up to to make an impact on others.

Jennifer recently met Louis Kent, the Director of Youth Outreach of Leaders Today which is affiliated with Me to We. Me to We helps to raise money and raise awareness to Free the Children in third world countries who are often involved with Child Labour.

Louise Kent has her debut album coming out on Oct 17th called 'The Small Things'. This singer-songwriter's first album has a folk-pop feel aimed at a youth audience. What makes this album different is it's mission and the message to change the world. Her songs talk about world issues, the struggles of making a difference, and most importantly--taking action.  In fact, the title is aimed directly at taking action by starting simple and doing 'the small things'. She is the first artist on a new and innovative label called Me to We Music, focused on spotlighting up and coming artists determined to change the world.

Everyone can make a difference by taking on something that is meaningful to them, and making an impact on others.

Dr. JJ participated in the Ride to Conquer Cancer. This 2-day, 215 Km bike ride from Toronto, Canada to Niagara Falls raised 14 million dollars for cancer research. Over 1,000 riders participated in the event, including an incredible woman with one leg who rode the course on a modified bike with 3 wheels. To participate in the event, Dr. JJ had to raise a minimum amount of money to participate, and Dr. JJ was surprised at the level of support from the people in his community- his family, friends, patients and even random people he met. Although the task may seem daunting, you can do it! Most people's lives are touched by cancer, either themselves or family members.

There are so many things we can all do in our lives that can help others. Even something as simple as a smile for someone who is having a bad day.

We encourage you to take on a challenge and make a difference in the world today.

We sign off with a clip from Louise Kent's title track from her new album, The Small Things. It officially launches on October 17th and will be available for sale at www.metowemusic.com.
